While cleaning out my office this morning before our contractor got here to work on our remodel, I found a stack of old airline inflight magazines I’d saved. Most are American Way but a few are other airlines we used to fly. They said I could take them home…. I used to use them as inspiration for typefaces, ad and page layout ideas back in the day. They weren’t always cutting edge but often they were clean. I miss the inflight magazines.

Free is always good, especially when it's something that you might actually use. Here's a limited-time freebie that's much more versatile than the medieval style it's created on. It's almost a narrower Copperplate-style font in a good weight for setting headlines and subheads.

Most of our clients use Microsoft Word, part of Office for Mac. There's a new for Mac exploit that's been discovered which now effects Word users on Mac OS. It's an issue that Windows users have had to be aware of for a while. Be very suspicious of any strange .doc or .docx files you receive. If you don't recognize the sender or if the file just doesn't seem right, don't be afraid to delete without opening. It can be an evil place sometimes, that internet. Don't let the bad guys win.
