Energy domain

Energy domain Energy Domain is a modern oil & gas platform powering smarter decisions across upstream.

Energy Domain is a modern oil & gas platform combining enterprise-grade data (rigs, wells, permits, production, alerts) with a marketplace to buy and sell minerals, royalties, AFEs, and working interests—so teams can analyze opportunities and act fast. We combine enterprise-grade data—rigs, wells, permits, production, and alerts—with a transaction-ready marketplace to buy and sell minerals, royalt

ies, AFEs, and working interests. From early activity intelligence and AOI monitoring to faster, more transparent deal execution, Energy Domain gives operators, investors, and land teams one place to analyze opportunities and act on them—without legacy friction.

Energy Domain will be at the NADOA 53rd Annual Institute.

We're headed to Irving, TX for the National Association of Division Order Analysts 53rd Annual Institute — September 9–11 at the Omni Las Colinas.

If your work touches division orders, title, and ownership, come see TitleLab. It's our title and division order data built to cut the time you spend tracking down instruments, working chains of title, and reconciling legal descriptions.

Stop by and say hello — we'd love to show you what it can do.

Most teams run decline curves in one tool and economics in another. Fundamentals does both on the same wells.

Fit Arps decline on liquids, gas, and water, set the b-factor, and pull EUR and IP off the type curve. Then layer your price deck, interest, CAPEX, OPEX, and production taxes to get NPV, IRR, payout, and breakeven — across PDP and PUD, on a producing-time basis normalized to month zero.

When the case is built, it exports straight to Aries or PHDwin v2. No rebuilding the deck to load your reserves software.

422 active rigs are turning in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico right now — 74% of everything drilling in the U.S.

The concentration is the story. The Permian alone accounts for 280 of them, more than every other basin in these three states combined. Add the Anadarko (39) and the Haynesville/East Texas gas rigs (41), and you've got a map of where upstream capital is actually being deployed this quarter.

Texas leads at 288 rigs, New Mexico at 87, Oklahoma at 47. On the operator side, ExxonMobil is running the most (36), followed by ConocoPhillips and Devon at 21 each, with Diamondback and Oxy close behind.

Rig permit, and operator activity on this map is tracked in Energy Domain Fundamentals.

Land teams are pointing AI at title work and getting guesswork back. The bottleneck isn’t the model. It’s what you’re feeding it.

Every land team we talk to is trying to point AI at their title work: feed the courthouse PDFs into a model, ask for a runsheet, save a week. Most hit the same wall. The model gives back guesswork. An owner that doesn’t exist, a working interest over 100% with no flag, a chain that looks clean and isn’t. Plus a token bill for the privilege.

It’s easy to blame the model. The problem is the data you’re feeding it.

You need data your model can reason over. The AI on your desk is probably good enough already. What’s missing is a clean, typed, queryable record of the courthouse underneath it. That’s what TitleLab is.

Half of all U.S. drilling is happening in one basin.

The Permian has 281 active rigs this week. Texas holds 194 and New Mexico 87. The two busiest counties in the country are both in New Mexico's Delaware Basin: Lea (45) and Eddy (42), followed by Midland (33), Loving (26), and Reeves (24) on the Texas side.

ExxonMobil runs the most at 34 rigs, then Oxy (25), Diamondback (19), ConocoPhillips (17), and Devon (16).

What Data Curation Actually Means — and Why It Matters for Your Evaluations

Every upstream data provider claims their data is high quality, but is it?

For some, quality means comprehensive coverage: every well in every state, every production record filed with the agency. Coverage matters, but it is not the same as curation. A dataset can be comprehensive and still be a mess to work with. Seventy versions of the same operator name. Mislocated well...

By the time a permit hits the RRC map, the market already knows.

The Texas Railroad Commission publishes permits once they're approved. But 90%+ of permits pass through a submitted and mapping status first and those don't appear on the RRC's public map.

Energy Domain captures submitted permits as they're filed. That's operator intent, days or weeks before the rest of the market sees it.
