It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our fellow board member, Evan Harmon, MHI, RHIA.
Evan was a respected leader and innovator in health information management and digital health. As Advocacy Chair and Board Member for Bluegrass HIMSS, he built and led a strong advocacy platform that advanced our chapter’s mission and impact. His leadership extended across the industry, including roles with Baptist Health, Resolve Pain Solutions, Optum Health, and as Founder of Digital Health Advisory Services.
Evan was deeply committed to service and mentorship, contributing his time and expertise to organizations such as the Kentucky Health Information Management Association, the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), and Alpha Phi Omega. His passion for advancing healthcare through innovation and his dedication to supporting others left a lasting mark on our community.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Evan was a proud father, a talented pianist, and a person who brought thoughtfulness and integrity to everything he did.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of working with him.
