Position:
Sharp Graphics in Franklin, Indiana is seeking a part time graphic designer to join our team. To be successful in this position, you will be a self-starter and with an outgoing personality and creative mind. Atmosphere is casual, fun and relaxed.

Job Description:
The graphic designer will be responsible for creating designs/logos for screen printing, signs, banners, business cards, posters and more. They will work directly with the customers and create designs per their specifications. The position also entails creating mock-ups of the items with designs for our online store and creating ads and fliers for the for the customers utilizing our e-commerce services. The designer will also be responsible for creating eye-catching social media posts for the business and other clients. Vinyl cutting, weeding and application are also duties of the graphic artist. Other duties may include pricing and stocking in retail store, emailing customers, ordering supplies, checking in orders and confirming quantities, and answering phone calls.

Qualifications:
Candidates must be highly skilled in designing with Adobe Illustrator and possess creativity with “out of the box” ideas and a strong understanding of design principles. They will need to know how to bring together lines, color, shape, space, texture, typography, scale, dominance and emphasis, and harmony to create visually appealing and well-structured designs. They will need to be able to balance workloads and prioritize projects and meet deadlines. They must have sound interpersonal and communicative skills and collaborate with clients in a professional manner. An eye for detail is a must as is organization skills. Prior knowledge and skills working with sign vinyl and vinyl cutting software would be an additional asset.

Just a reminder to everyone that we are hiring for a graphic artist / sign specialist -- No degree is necessary to perform the job, we just need someone who is available and willing to learn! Design experience is a must for this position.

Due to unforeseen life circumstances, our graphic designer & sign artist, Larken, is going to have to step away from Sharp Graphics. We are so sad to see her go, but understand that life happens and that there are things completely out of our control. We wish her the best on all of her future endeavors and are grateful for everything she has done to help shape Sharp Graphics.

With that being said, we are hiring for a graphic designer/sign artist that will take over her position. Some of the duties for the job include graphic and t-shirt design, cutting/weeding/masking of sign vinyl, working a heat press and general retail work such as helping customers, answering emails, and answering the phone. Training will be provided by Larken and the owner, Raquel, on select tasks. Any interested applicants should email their resumes to [email protected] along with a few examples of previous design work. We will get in contact with you to set up an interview. The pay rate is based on experience and can be discussed in the interview.
