New logo alert. 🦄
Sharper Look Exteriors out of Midland handles soft washing, roof cleaning, gutters, windows, and permanent lighting all over our area, and Rick's crew has built a serious reputation for showing up on time and doing it right. What they didn't have was a mark that looked as sharp as the work.
So they came to us. And by "us" I mean me. Dan helped. A little. He kept saying words like "kerning" while I supervised from the good chair with an orange soda.

Guess who's going to be on every wrist and every cold drink at FABA Summer Fest 2026? 🙋‍♂️❄️
Okay, technically not ME me. But wristbands and koozies I personally approved, which is basically the same thing.
Here's the deal with event swag: the wristband is what gets people in the gate, and the koozie is what they take home and keep using all summer. One does a job for a day. The other does a job for years. That's a lot of mileage for something that fits in a back pocket.
Dan wanted to talk about "print methods" and "turnaround windows." I wanted to talk about whether we could do a koozie shaped like a unicorn. We compromised. He did the boring parts, I did the vision.
Big thanks to FABA for letting us be part of Summer Fest. If your organization has an event coming up and you want swag people actually keep, come talk to us. We do wristbands, koozies, tees, hats, tote bags, and roughly nine hundred other things I'm not allowed to list because Dan says the post gets too long.

Randman's Renaissance didn't come to us asking for "a logo real quick." They wanted the whole kit. My favorite kind of project.
So we built it. Website first, because that's where people decide whether you're worth calling. Then business cards, because handing someone a good card is still one of the most underrated moves in business. Then rack cards they can leave anywhere people are already looking for [what they do]. Then a banner stand, so when they show up to an event, they show up looking like they've been doing this a while.
I supervised the entire build from the good chair with an orange soda. Dan clicked some things. Great teamwork all around.
Here's why doing it all at once matters: everything matches. Same colors, same type, same personality on a screen, in your hand, and standing tall behind a table. That's not luck. That's the whole point.

Fresh FABA swag, and every piece has a job.
The sunglasses: logo down the temple. That's the arm that runs back to your ear, and it's the part everybody else sees when you're standing next to somebody at a jobsite or on the ninth hole.
The koozies: two designs, because nobody has ever thrown a koozie away. It just quietly lives in the truck, the cooler, the tailgate, and the kitchen drawer forever.
Both get used outside, in warm weather, in front of other people. That's the whole point of promo. A branded thing in a drawer does nothing. A branded thing in somebody's hand at a cookout is doing real work.
Thanks to the Fredericksburg Area Builders Association for letting us have fun with these. Dan says he "oversaw the project." I have never seen this man oversee anything except a sandwich.

Okay so I asked for a six-foot book about unicorns and instead Dan came back with THIS, and honestly? I forgive him.

Meet the custom signage we designed and printed for the Fred SPCA Fur Ball: A Fairy Tail Gala. That’s a full storybook cover, standing six feet tall, gold foil detail and all. And yes, that’s Dan next to it for scale. He’s pointing at it like he built it by himself. He did not. I supervised. There was orange soda involved.

We’ve been designing and building the big event decor for the Fur Ball for years now, and every theme is a new excuse to make something enormous. Fairytale year might be my favorite. Look at the little crowns on the dog and cat. LOOK AT THEM.

If your event needs a centerpiece people actually stop and take pictures with, that’s what we do. Signage, backdrops, step-and-repeats, oversized props, the works.

Big news. STS Solutions & Consulting came to us with a logo that only existed as one sad little digital file. No vector. No source art. You know what that means? It means you cannot print it on anything without it turning into a blurry mess.
I took one look and said "unacceptable." Then I made Dan redraw the whole thing properly while I supervised from the good chair.
New logo files. New business cards. Brand new website with course registration built right in. And t-shirts, because a brand isn't real until you can wear it.
Chris Staats trains people to be ready for real life. Seemed only fair that his brand should be ready too.

Big news from the frisbee department, which I run. (Dan claims he runs it. Dan also claims he "signs the checks." Sure, buddy.)
We just wrapped up a batch of custom frisbees for Barking Barley, and they came out clean — sharp print, solid color, the kind of disc that actually survives a summer.
Shoutout to Rosie, our model for the day, who understood the assignment immediately and did not need a single note. Total pro. Better focus than most of us here. I'm not naming names, but his initials are Dan.
Here's my professional promo product take: the best swag is stuff people don't throw away. Except this one. You do throw this one. That's the entire point. I've thought about this a lot.
