This book was written in 1986 by a local author, James A. Porter, Jr. He was born and raised in Fredonia, and was the local veterinarian during the 1950's, succeeding his father. He was involved in starting the Wilson County Rodeo, and a building at the Fairgrounds is named in his honor.
His daughter has sent the library unsold copies of his book to be distributed. We are proud to be able to pass them along. If you are interested, please come see us!
