Black cats have been getting a bad reputation for way too long.

They're not bad luck. They're not spooky. They're just cats, with a little extra mystery in their coat and just as much love in their hearts.

Today is for them. The ones with golden eyes and quiet confidence. The ones who deserve just as many head scratches and lap naps as any other cat.

Give your black cat a little extra love today. They've earned it. 🖤

There's always that one word everyone in the family uses to describe the cat.

The funny thing is...
It's usually true. 😂

This Is Why So Many First Dogs Get Returned
And It's not what you think.

It isn't because people stop loving their dogs.
More often than not, it's because they chose a breed before they chose a lifestyle.

A dog can be adorable, popular, and exactly what you've always wanted. But if its energy level, space requirements, or daily needs don't match the life you can realistically provide, both you and the dog end up struggling.

Before you choose a breed, ask yourself these five questions.

🏠Where do you live? Some dogs adapt well to apartment living, while others need more space and daily exercise to stay happy and healthy.

⏰How much time do you actually have? Not the time you hope you'll have, but the time you have after work, family, errands, and everything else life throws your way.

⚡Can you match their energy level? A high-energy dog with a low-energy owner can quickly become frustrated.

🧾Are you ready for the long-term costs? Food is only part of the picture — grooming, vet care, training, and unexpected expenses all add up.

🗓️What will your life look like a year from now? A new job, a move, or a growing family can all change how much time and space you have for a dog.

The best first dog isn't the cutest one. It isn't the most popular one.
It's the one that fits your lifestyle.

Choosing wisely gives both you and your future dog the best chance at a happy life together.

One of the biggest decisions you'll make as a cat owner is whether your cat stays indoors, explores outdoors, or gets a bit of both.

It might seem simple, but it can shape your cat's health, safety, and lifespan.

Cats that roam freely face risks every day. Busy roads, other animals, disease, toxic substances, even well-meaning strangers. No matter how attentive you are, once your cat is out of sight, a lot of that is out of your hands.

Indoor cats tend to live significantly longer. But indoor life only works if it's actually stimulating. A cat tree, a scratching post, a window perch, and daily play go a long way toward keeping an indoor cat genuinely happy, not just contained.

If your cat loves the outdoors, you don't have to choose between freedom and safety. Supervised outdoor time, leash walks, or a secure catio give cats fresh air and enrichment, and research shows cats with this kind of supervised access live just as long as fully indoor cats.

There's no single right answer for every cat or every home. What matters is understanding the tradeoffs so the decision is an informed one.

How does your cat spend its days? Indoors, outdoors, or a little of both? We'd love to hear what works for you👇👇
