So, TIKTOK is complaining about America banning it here due to China's influence.
China banned the use of Western social media companies such as Facebook, Twitter (X), Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, and LinkedIn.
Additionally, other popular apps like Google, TikTok (international version), and Netflix are also banned,
China has implemented strict regulations on the export of business data. Under the Data Security Law and the Cyber Security Law, certain types of data, especially “important” and “core” data, are subject to stringent controls and must undergo security assessments before they can be exported.
Recent updates to these regulations have aimed to ease some compliance burdens, but the core principle remains that sensitive data must be kept within China unless specific conditions are met34. This includes data from critical information infrastructure operators and personal information that meets certain thresholds.
China is a hypocrite, you don't have freedom in China, on the illusion of SOME freedoms.
