Hanby Environmental is a 29 year old company that manufacturers and sells the world over TPH field test kits for the immediate detection of hydrocarbons in water and soil samples. These kits are a visual method utilizing the human eye to compare the analyzed sample results with those of color calibration photo standards. Most recently before his passing and along side my Grandfather, we developed

a new portable device utilizing a uv/vis spectrometer replacing the human eye with a standardized computer eye, thereby eliminating the subjectivity of humans eyes. Also utilizing the same time tested and proven chemical reaction as the 29 year history with the TPH field test kits, our new device provides precise accurate results with real time lab quality results in the field for both qualitative and quantitative analysis, putting a lab in the field. Our new device is being marketed to both the Environmental and Oil & Gas Industries, as our results are in line with fingerprinting and DNA analysis of hydrocarbons including the most complex substance on earth; Crude Oil.
