3d printing is under attack! CA is introducing AB2047 to mandate a detection mechanism to prevent printing things that the software perceives could be a gun or gun parts. This will undoubtedly cause 3d printing to get more expensive, or not be offered in CA at all anymore. This won't prevent bad people, but it will prevent us from making props or anything it thinks could be related to a gun. Plus, the manufacturers aren't going to implement this as it would be WAY harder than they are making it out to be, so 3d Printers will likely just not be sold in CA anymore. I have a couple of openings this week and am completely clear for next week if anyone needs any IT or Electronics help! I recently called around to all the local shops in Auburn and Placerville to find house call rates of my competitors. I was surprised to learn that basically none of them do house calls, and the few that do are a minimum of $150 an hour to come out here😳. My house call charge is $95 an hour. I try to keep my services lower than the competition and help keep things out of the landfills. Give me a call at 916-832-9487

I just wanted to let everyone know my house call prices will be going up to $95 an hour, but the rest of my in-house charges will be staying the same. If you have already booked jobs with me, then I will still honor the $75 an hour. The last time I raised my prices was in 2021, this increase is roughly 5% a year over the last 5 years. I try not to raise my prices every year like a lot of businesses, but I am severely below what other places charge for house calls, and that is if they even do house calls at all. I recently did cold calls to a lot of the local repair shops in Placerville and Auburn, and was surprised to find that a lot of them won't do house calls at all and the ones that do come up here want around $140 an hour on average. I love serving my community and don't take raising my prices lightly. This was a hard decision, but one that had to be made in order for me to be able to sustain the ever-increasing costs of everything. Thanks for your support!

If you have been in the market for a new pc and haven't gotten one or have been holding off to get one. Now's the time to do it. Memory costs have tripled in the last couple of months and it's not supposed to get any better. They're saying costs are going to go up by another 45% and PC manufacturers are having a hard time getting memory so we're either going to have a shortage of pre-built PC's and or the cost is going to increase significantly. The memory I was looking at using to build a couple of new machines went from $170 for 32 gig pack to $378 for that same pack in the last 2 months. I will be closed Xmas Week and New Year's week, December 20th through January 4th, returning to normal business hours on January 5th.
