We’ve all uttered these words just before we give up on something. If your customer is saying this, then you know you have a problem. The perceived value of your product is what keeps you in business. So if it goes down, your churn rate is likely to go up.

There are three primary things that cause a decrease in perceived value:
⌛Time
💰Cost
🚧Roadblocks

It’s easy to assess the value of tangible products. Is the quality, durability or usefulness of this item worth what I paid for it? With technology, however, the bulk of the value is often in the intangibles — time saved, ease of use, efficiencies — which leaves you with the tall order of creating perceived value around something your clients can’t necessarily hold in their hands.

People aren't buying your software, they are buying what they get out of your product.
