QC-CALC Real-Time 4.3 - New Features

Histograms can now be displayed adjacent to the traditional plot charts. Moveable panels that display run charts, histograms, statistics, filters, and part images can now be positioned on both sides, top or bottom of the screen allowing customization of the look and feel of QC-CALC Real-Time. The toolbar icons have also been updated for a new fresh look.

Finally, most settings previously stored in external files have been moved to the database to reduce implementation times and ensure a more robust operation.

QC-CALC 4.3 Released! Simplifying the Product Line..

QC-CALC SPC, the basic SPC reporting tool module of the product line will be retired at the current version 4.1.
The QC-CALC SPC name will continue as we have renamed Enterprise Report Scheduler (ERS) to QC-CALC SPC Pro.

This powerful tool for SPC analysis, reporting, dashboard creation, and much more has continued to evolve by adding advanced triggers, data editing, and new user privilege management.

The new QC-CALC SPC Pro can function as a simple reporting tool or manage all the quality reports and displays needed for an entire company. It should be noted that a lower cost version of QC-CALC SPC is also being offered with no scheduling options.

Don't forget! Time is running out on upgrading your Version 3.4 products as they are being retired. Contact Prolink today for more information!

Feature Drop!

QC-Mobile 4.2 Administrator now added to web client. We heard from our customers that the QC-Mobile Settings app is great for updating the most common settings, but too often the business user no longer has access to the server after initial setup because it's in an IT closet. This makes it difficult to change the settings later as the business requires. Enter the new Administrator! This is, of course, controlled by privileges from user groups in ERS, but most settings (and more are coming) that are in the QC-Mobile Settings app are now available via the browser! Update your QC-Mobile to the latest to gain access to this new screen. Even more settings will be added soon!

Feature Drop!

Unfortunately due to a server issue in January, things got off to a rocky start with the feature drops we had planned for the first 6 months of the year, so we're going to start them now!

The first feature drop is a new home screen widget (in QC-Mobile 4.2) called the part frequency widget. As the name implies, it shows data collection frequency and allows you to see by machine or part file how many parts per day/hour were collected. This helps to give data collection visibility and confirm that it's staying current to requirements.

This is a part of our overall goal to provide visibility of the entire system to the browser so anyone with a QC-Mobile account has access. See the link in bio for full details on the new feature!

Gage R&R testing and reporting eating up valuable hours of your time? QC-CALC Real-Time has a built in Gage R&R function that will automate the process.

1. Simply open the part file of the component you will use in the test.
2. Then choose the Gage R&R menu option, set the number of parts, trials, operators, and collection order (random is preferred).
3. Start collecting data.

When all the data is collected, choose one of several printout options and print the Gage R&R report.

That's right! No manual setup!

QC-CALC Realtime pulls the characteristic names and specs from the data stored in the database. The program saves all the samples taken and results in a separate area of the database keeping production data separate.

Need to do the tests for different operators on different shifts? No problem, just pause the routine and return to production measuring after each operator runs their portion of the Gage R&R. Pick up the process on the next shift simply by picking the in-process test from a list. Click the link in bio to learn more!

QC-Mobile can provide a consolidated status report on every measuring station in your plant on one screen. Simply click on your user name in the upper right of the browser page and choose “System Status”. Choose the “Data Collection Status“ tab and a complete list of every measuring station in your plant that sends data to the Prolink database is listed. The workstation name, gage type and most recent part number information (date, total parts, location, and category) are shown. The part number is displayed as a link and one click will display Live Data of the most recently measured parts. This page is a live Quality Production Report!

MultiSource – A solution to compiling data from multiple sources

Did you know that QC-CALC Real-Time can bring data together from different types of measuring instruments and/or different operations merging it seamlessly under one part number?

QC-CALC’s MultiSource feature can match data from different operations by measuring order, lot number, part serial number, or even a combination of multiple trace fields. This built-in function can bring data together from CMMs, hand tools or even PLCs regardless of how many operations and measuring steps are in the process. All that is needed is to have the various measuring stations use the same part number for all operations and make sure the characteristic names are unique across the entire part. Point History Available in QC-CALC Real-Time 4.0

Many customers do not realize, but as of QC-CALC 4.0+, a full audit history for points is saved into the part file. In previous versions of QC-CALC, history for points was not maintained other than for Part 11 auditing purposes.
