Another great MACo Summer Conference in the books.

Last week was a reminder of what makes this conference so valuable: bringing together leaders from across Maryland to share ideas, strengthen relationships, and talk about the challenges and opportunities facing our communities.

Our team had a great week connecting with customers, partners, and friends. We appreciated every conversation and every opportunity to learn more about the priorities shaping Maryland’s counties and communities.

MACo Summer Conference is always one of the highlights of our year, and we're looking forward to being back in Ocean City for MACo 2026 in a few weeks.

Big events don't leave much room for surprises.

When thousands of visitors are traveling across Pennsylvania during FIFA-related events, even a single fiber outage can affect the systems transportation teams rely on to keep traffic moving.

PennDOT's Ted Lucas shared:

"Skyline Engineer Sean Dean built a dashboard and map that has been incredibly valuable to our team during FIFA. It is simple enough for operators to view and understand downstream fiber and circuit impacts, helping them prevent an issue before it begins."

He added: "We had a fiber outage incident occur and were able to identify it more quickly than ever before thanks to Skyline monitoring."

The best transportation technology is measured by the things the public never experiences: fewer disruptions and safer travel for everyone on the road.
