iOS 16 is here! Here are the major updates.

Customizable lock screens with animated wallpapers and widget capability. Lock screens will also change based on the Focus mode you are in at the time.
The Lock Screen will also give you live updates for things like sports games or news without having to unlock your phone.
Messages now allows you to edit and delete texts! Mail will also let you schedule emails to be sent and send you reminders.
There's much more to come but for iPad users, iPad OS isn't quite ready yet and will not launch at the same time, so be patient.

Are you a serial app closer? Specifically on the iPhone, you're causing your phone to work harder and drain your battery life.

Officially, Apple says “You should close an app only if it’s unresponsive.”

Despite what you would think about for conventional wisdom, closing apps in your iPhone or iPad is going to make the app pull a new session, costing you precious battery life and making your phone work harder.

When you switch away from an app, the app enters a suspended state, and iOS automatically frees up CPU cycles and RAM that were devoted to running the app. iPhone’s automatic resource management is so good that you never need to worry about an app paused in the background slowing down the app you’re using in the foreground.

If you constantly close apps on your iPhone while attempting to speed things up or save battery life, you’re doing the opposite and making your iPhone perform worse. Here’s why.

iPhone users get ready to unsend and edit messages, but there's a few catches.
First, you'll both need to be on iOS 16. Next, it has to be within two minutes of when you sent it.
Also, you can edit messages within 15 minutes of sending, so those typo's are a thing of the past!

You can also edit texts you've already sent on your iPhone -- as long as you're fast enough.

Hit Ctrl+Shift+T (or Cmd+Shift+T for Mac users) to reopen a tab you accidentally closed. This works for Chrome OR Safari and probably Firefox too.
