🚸 Back-to-School Means Back to School Zone Safety 🚸
As students return to classrooms, it’s time for all of us to be extra vigilant on the road. Many routines were disrupted over the last few years, and it’s easy to forget the basics — but when kids’ safety is on the line, the stakes are high.
Key reminders for drivers:
✔ Slow down in school zones, especially during peak times (7-9 A.M. and 2-4 P.M.).
✔ Watch for crossing guards, patrols, and flashing yellow/red lights on school buses — STOP means STOP.
✔ Expect the unexpected — children on bikes, skateboards, or crossing away from crosswalks.
✔ Reduce speed & distractions intentionally — safety starts with attention.
Passing a stopped school bus or ignoring school zone signs isn’t just illegal — it’s dangerous. Fines can be steep, but the real cost is far higher if someone gets hurt. Let’s work together to keep roads safe for students, staff, and families this school year. Patience and awareness save lives!
