From a one-room office in Bird Island, Minnesota, to powering fuel delivery operations worldwide, the story of Rural Computer Consultants (RCC) is a masterclass in continual modernization.

Dan has worked as a software developer throughout his career, starting with DBL–based banking software company First National Systems, then Java development at Harland Financial Solutions. After Harland was acquired by McAndrews and Forbes, Dan worked mostly in Visual Studio C #. He also served as IT manager for Floral Supply Syndicate, a long-time Synergex customer. Dan started working for Synergex in 2019 as a consulting developer, first as an independent contractor and then joining the company as an employee in 2022. He's worked with customers on a variety of projects, including improving Synergy databases, developing and maintaining server-side web services, and writing application documentation. Dan is married with two children, and his hobbies include disc golf and maple sugaring.

The Synergy DBL Integration for Visual Studio (SDI) version 2026.05.1464 release includes several new .NET language features, remote debugging enhancements for traditional Synergy, and important fixes for SDI, the compilers, and project SDKs.
