GVEC Goes to Washington! 🇺🇸 Three students are representing GVEC at this year’s Government-in-Action Youth Tour in Washington, D.C.: Colette Forsberg of Cibolo, Leila Garcia of Marion, and Reese Chilek of Yoakum.

Throughout the week, they’ll experience our nation’s capital, visit historic landmarks, learn more about government in action, and connect with students from electric cooperatives across the country.

🌀Hurricane season officially began June 1, and while we're not right on the coast, when tropical systems start stirring in the Gulf, they can still bring severe weather and the potential for power outages.

Last night we had a very unusual network disruption that lasted several hours. We are aware there is a second disruption at this time, and we do not have an ETR so far.

Our team is doing all they can to find and resolve the issue.

This is affecting our phone system as well, but the MyGVEC app is still working. Please report electric outages via the app or by texting OUT to 800.223.4832. We will update this post as new information becomes available to us.
