Apparently we can’t just go to dinner like normal people. 😆🔪🩸

So instead, we built an entire murder investigation into Chef’s Table at Black Iris.

You’ll eat. You’ll drink. You’ll meet the people behind the food, wine, art, brandy and ci**rs.

And then there’s the last course. Murder.
Murder is officially on the menu.

Cool. How do you feel about murder? 🔎

On September 3, we’re taking over Black Iris Social Club for a Chef’s Table experience... with a murderous twist.

The night includes a family-style dinner from Chef James Ball of Rappahannock Oyster Co., wine pairings and education with Stan Joynes of Valley Road Vineyards, cocktails from Waterman’s Spirits, a Laird’s Apple Brandy tasting and La Aurora cigar pairing, and artwork from Richmond artist Vinnie Gonzalez.

And somewhere between the first pour and the last cigar, an immersive murder mystery unfolding throughout the night from yours truly, [The Cyber Space].

This one is a little different from our usual events. No evidence boxes. No racing around the room.

Eat. Drink. Pay attention. Because something isn’t quite right.

Cybersecurity awareness training shouldn't be bland. So we brought the heat. 🔥

What a week!

Wednesday, we kicked things off with some carefully curated, cybersecurity-themed raffles at What’s Happening RVA. IYKYK, we like to put a little creativity into everything we do.

Thursday, we headed to COVISC with hot sauce in tow... and lunch just happened to be tacos. 🌮🌶️

Then we closed out the conference with The COV Continuity Crisis.

We threw a cyber crisis at a room full of people and let the chaos unfold. Teams debated, decisions were made, and things got a little competitive. Exactly what we were hoping for. 😎

The verdict? 4.6/5, with fun and engaging showing up again and again.

Cybersecurity doesn't need another boring presentation. It just needs a little more spice...

A regular at Decipher Brewing has been murdered.

Now it's up to you and your team to uncover the truth.

Search for clues. Solve puzzles. Examine the evidence. Piece together the mystery before the killer gets away.

While many know us for interactive cybersecurity experiences, this event showcases another side of what we love to create: immersive experiences that bring people together through storytelling, collaboration, and problem-solving.

[The Cyber Space] and ISACA Virginia Chapter is bringing 7 Deadly SYNs to Black Iris Social Club after RVAsec day 2 for an evening of networking, puzzles, competition, and creative cybersecurity fun.

All are welcome.

The event is free to attend. Participation in the game is limited to 35 players (prizes for top teams included). ISACA members earn 1 CPE.
