About the Role:
We’re looking for a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our IT team. This is an entry-level position with enormous potential for growth—perfect for someone eager to learn, develop new skills, and build a long-term career in technology.

Responsibilities:
Build PC’s and Servers, maintain build inventory records
Assist with system installations, updates, and troubleshooting
Maintain IT documentation and Client files
Collaborate with team members on IT projects and infrastructure installations

Qualifications:
Basic understanding of computer systems, networking, and troubleshooting.
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Must be able to communicate with clients and co-workers.
Degree and/or certificates in IT, Computer Science, or related field (equivalent experience) preferred.

Windows 10 is reaching its end of life on October 14, 2025. This means that Microsoft will no longer provide free security updates, non-security updates, or assisted support for Windows 10... what does this mean for you?????
-This doesn't mean your computer will stop working, but it will become increasingly vulnerable to security risks as new vulnerabilities are discovered and not patched... In essence, after October 14, 2025, your Windows 10 PC will be running an unsupported and potentially insecure operating system.

What are your options??????
-Upgrade to Windows 11: Microsoft recommends upgrading to Windows 11, which is the latest version and will continue to receive support. (we can check to see if your computer can be upgraded or if the CPU is too old)

-According to Microsoft Support, you can purchase a paid Extended Security Updates (ESU) program for up to three years, but this is primarily for businesses and not for individual consumers. (EXPENSIVE and only for the Azure business platforms/VM's, no support and only critical vulnerabilities (per Microsoft Security Response Center) will be patched.)

-Do nothing (but be aware of the risks):
Your computer will still function, but you'll be running an unsupported and increasingly vulnerable operating system. (100% DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!)

While Windows 10 will continue to work after October 14, 2025, it will not be supported by Microsoft, making it crucial to consider upgrading or taking other appropriate measures to ensure your security and continued access to support.

Online security reminder to all of you out there on the internet.... Time to change your passwords!!!
Apparently, you can't use 'beefstew" as a password. It's not stroganoff...... 😂

Do NOT let anyone remote into your computer (unless you personally know them and trust them.)
DO change your passwords frequently.
DO use 2 factor authentication, when you can.
Do NOT give your passwords out or "auto save" them. Log in each time!
DO make sure you write down your passwords and keep them in a secure location.
and DO make sure you restart your computer frequently so you stay updated.
DO make up funny or crazy passwords..... just make sure they are Stroganoff!!!!!!!! LOL
