Random Computer Nerd Jargon - Patch Tuesday is the second Tuesday of each month where Microsoft releases security patches to fix security issues with Windows and other Microsoft products. The following Wednesday (referred to as Exploit Wednesday) is where there can be a lot of activity as malicious program creators analyse the patch and release some sort of virus to take advantage of the security hole that was patched. Also, since typical updates are available every month, it gives the most time to work before a fix is found or applied.

Did you know - Antivirus/antispyware/internet security use the words 'protected' or 'secured' to tell you they are working properly. A huge misconception is that a computer can't be infected if it's 'protected'. Remember - even if your front door is locked, that doesn't mean someone can't pick the lock!

Did you know? Computers, short of mechanical/electrical difficulties, never slow down, they just end up having to do more work! New versions of Windows, adding/updating programs, or even simply updating Windows give our computers more work to do. Viruses, spyware, fake antivirus programs, etc. give your computer more work to do as well.

Hello all! FINALLY Facebook fixed it's issues with my Facebook (or that's what I'm tellin' myself), and it's back up! I have updated the address, so, if you see the address in the phone book, it might not be correct depending on which book you have. On another note, how's everybody's computer doin'?

Well, I've been slacking on my page after being really busy. Viruses don't take a break I guess :) Anyway, everything is going good in the computer shop. I've got some empty bench space, so get your computer in for that tune up. Most people don't realize they have a problem or put it off until it's really bad, so lets get that computer in shape!
