The year was 2011. Armed with a degree in digital animation + game design and prior experience building custom CMSs, James Andreas arrived at CARNEVALE with an extraordinary broad range of talent and tech fluency. His ability to build award-winning iOS apps one day (two #1 App Store apps to his name) and gen AI engines the next has become the template for all CARNEVALE devs who have followed.

We’re so grateful for James’ creative brilliance, endless pursuit of knowledge, and hard work that’s gone into hundreds of projects over the span of his career here. Also, he keeps us up to date on the latest in-demand LEGO sets, viral TikTok recipes, epic UPS/Amazon delivery failures, and essential kitchen shortcuts like the Godzilla Microwave Steamer. Rowing is an apt metaphor for high-performance teamwork, where success depends on every individual moving in perfect synchronization toward a singular goal. We were happy to support the EGR CREW team this past year and see that same level of precision and shared effort in action on the water.

In February, CARNEVALE team member Caitlyn Haisel attended Axe-Con, an online accessibility conference that brings together designers, developers, and accessibility professionals advancing the conversation of how we can all build more accessible digital products.

Over the two-day conference, Caitlyn learned innovative strategies for implementing accessibility, practical methods for testing it, and gained invaluable perspective about the opportunities (and pitfalls) AI presents. Each year, she looks forward to attending Axe-Con to hear from disabled voices helping lead the industry toward a more inclusive and accessible future.

After the conference, Caitlyn is excited and ready to bring those fresh insights and strategies back to the studio, fueling our mission to build digital experiences that aren't just innovative, but truly accessible for everyone.

Celebrating Erion Adams and her West Michigan Center for Arts + Technology - WMCAT Inspiration Award was a highlight for our team, especially for those who worked closely with her daily. It was a milestone moment to see her recognized as a leader in our community at iBall 2026, and we are proud to have been a part of her professional journey.

Designer Matt Medonis recalls: "Erion always brings a positive energy to the workplace. She works hard, is always engaged, never backs down from a challenge, and brings endless joy and laughter to everyone she comes across."
