Is your old computer in need of repair or an upgrade?

Did you take it in to a computer store only to be told that it could not be repaired or upgraded?

Perhaps you should check with Aardvark Computer Solutions before you are talked into buying a new machine.

While it is true that not all computers can be upgraded, many can.

We had a customer come in with a laptop PC running Windows 7 and he wanted to upgrade to Windows 10. He brought it in to a computer store and was told that it could not be done, so he contacted us about getting a refurbished computer. We were actually able to upgrade his computer with a new solid state drive and Windows 10 for about $200.

Another customer came in with an old Mac desktop that they wanted repaired. They had taken it in to a Mac repair shop and told that the shop's insurance did not allow them to work on a Mac that Apple no longer supported. Hmm. Sounds like the shop just wanted to sell them a new computer. We repaired and upgraded the computer with a new solid state for about $225.

A third customer came in with a Mac laptop that was not functioning properly. They had taken it to an Apple store and the "kid" (the customer's words) said that it was over 2 years old and was "junk". The customer had paid $2500 for the laptop and was reasonably upset. We were able to repair the computer and upgrade the OS for about $200.

So, if you have been told that your computer can't be repaired or upgraded, give us a call. We specialize in getting the most out of any computer for a reasonable cost.

Another Social Security scam.
If you get a call with a robotic monotone voice telling you that your Social Security has been suspended, just hang up. It is just another attempt to steal something from you. I sometimes actually "press 1" to talk to someone and then just put my phone down and wait for them to hang up. If they want to waste my time I feel obliged to waste theirs!

If you get a call from anyone claiming to help you with a computer problem, just hang up! Microsoft and Apple will NOT call you! How would they have your number, even if they did find out there was a problem with your computer? These are always a scam to get your money somehow.

Didn't get that new computer you wanted for Christmas?
