Treehouse Audio & Design is the umbrella company under which all my creative endeavors fall (as DJ FM or otherwise). It encompasses audio production, print graphic design, and web design. Music and art have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I frequently drew and wrote stories which I also illustrated. My father bought one of the first Apple Macintosh computers in 19
85, which I immediately immersed myself in. The sounds of my mom's record collection and AM radio were constant companions. Musically, I began playing piano in the 3rd grade, trumpet in 6th, and guitar/bass as a sophomore in high school. While in college, I began making demos using a Tascam Portastudio and Boss DR-660 drum machine, and my band SGO recorded our first album "Closure" at Osceola Recording Studios in Raleigh in 1995. I knew as I sat on the couch in front of that 48-track Neotek console where I was meant to be. Our drummer had just turned 18. I graduated from the NC State College of Design in 1996 and have been a professional graphic designer for 18 years. I began DJ-ing and producing my own original EDM/rave music in 1998, and am more active in it than ever. The only word I can use to describe my life?
