The pen comes with both tablets. Samsung has perfected its pens over the years, making the HP seem quite simplistic. Infinite pressure levels, and smooth screen writing outweigh the slippery writing on glass feel of the HP. Score 1, Samsung

Round 1c:HP Keys have a great tactile feel. But Samsung’s even better! Samsung key caps have a nice, premium feel. Samsung keypress requries just the right amount of pressure, HP leaves my finger tips feeling battered

Microsoft, I've tried. I've joined Insiders, I've bought Bands, I've bought Smartphones, I've switched to Edge.

Edge has gotten worse. Yes, it has more features. Yes, it's fairly quick - if it works. But more and more frequently it refuses to scroll down. and more and more frequently, it consumes all available memory when accessing your own properties - Outlook.com, live.com, as well as others like gmail.com. I have 24 G. This is the most efficient, battery saving browser?

Excellent Support produces Repeat Customers
Something else i should have told you: Microsoft nailed support for their hardware products. i've contacted them multiple times about the Band 1 - all issues answered promptly and courteously, including 2 defect product replacements (the band cover essentially disintegrated). Third time's the charm, i hope. Third 'replacement', that is. The third band 1 caused welps on my wrist. Once again, prompt, courteous refund. Which is what led to my purchase of a Band 2. i was initially intrigued by Samsung's new fitness tracker - auto-detect features, real time heart rate, etc. in the end, i realized the Band 2 had all the same features plus compatibility with multiple platforms. i had concerns over the quality of Band 2, but those seem to be alleviated in later variations of the Band 2.

In short, excellent service led me to use the refund to purchase a Band 2. So far, I believe I made the right choice.

Microsoft Band
The original Microsoft Band was a great proof of concept. It was clunky, it was uncomfortable. But it had the right ideas: put the right sensors in a convenient mechanism that was always with you. Battery life, meh. Charging time great. Right information, presentation meh.

Band 2 is a pretty big leap forward. Adding one additional sensor, comfort and improved looks, while maintaining all the things the original band aspired toward. Some of the beneficial information formerly on Microsoft Health board has been added to the band. It provides a gentle warning when the UV rays are streaming brightly to re-apply your sunscreen. It reminds you to move if you're too sedentary. It adds many new types of exercise such as elliptical machine. But the best feature for those serious about fitness is a heart rate tracker: the screen will now be outlined in yellow if you're 70 - 80% of your max heart rate, orange if you're 80 - 90, and red if you're at or above 100%. This is the holy grail for fitness: a simple, easy way to keep your heart rate in your target range for the duration of exercise. Well done, Microsoft.

Oh, and both versions provide a lot of cool, geeky stuff like text, email, facebook et al, Cortana integration, and even a tiny keyboard that's surprisingly accurate.
