Here’s a behind-the-scenes video of our UV spot gloss embellishment testing.

We first load the printed roll on the machine. It passes through a few rollers, then the chosen laminate is applied. After, a clear varnish is applied on top of the laminate and then immediately cured with UV light. The labels are rewound on the final roll. The product is now finished and ready for quality control and shipping!

The process is very similar for applying foil embellishment, except a roll of metallic foil will be applied to areas of the artwork with the clear varnish (so it sticks). It will be cured in the same way and will have a bright, shiny finish in selected areas.

Last Friday, we celebrated Employee Appreciation Day here at Sttark. We had custom sugar cookies, fresh fruit, and a cold brew bar! This is just a small token of our gratitude for our wonderful employees and the hard work they put in day in and day out.
..and did we try to calculate the color shift from our brand Pantone to the cookie icing? Well... 😉
