Gonna throw this out again - if you need options for getting your business network online so you can do payroll, take credit carts, etc (you know, do business).... Hit me up and I will try to help you as best I can.

I'm swamped with our own customers, but if I can answer a question, or offer a resource, I'm happy to do so.

Scenarios:

You have power, but your internet is down - you cannot get to QB in the cloud, or if you do, you cannot print checks to your local printer.

You have an network based time clock, or credit card machine that cannot reach the internet.

You are multi-locational and have a connection between one office that is down due to lack of internet.....

You have a cloud based authentication system not permitting you to log into local machines because of no internet.

Etc, etc etc...

I have spent the better part of this week helping our business customers get their networks back online, and get backup power/internet solutions in place.

If you need advice, or help, shoot me a message and I will see what I can do.

Going forward, I imagine a LOT of people will be talking about how to better prepare and I'd love to have a conversation about that with you too.

Almost a week of downtime has been a bummer - it's affected our businesses as well and we will be investing (money we don't have) into being better prepared for the next time.

Will get the servers connected at 10G and workstations at 2.5G next week....

This week was no fun at all, but at least the big job is done....

My business Homeland Secure IT, LLC was teaming up with Mark Harmon (No, not the guy from TV), to deploy a somewhat straightforward wifi network, surveillance cameras and access control system for a new business.

It should have been done in 1.5 days. Day was the 3rd day...

The lift we rented failed us 2 hours in - it would only move at 1mph (not the turtle setting - this was a snail's pace)... That put us behind, but we pushed onward.

The door strike situation was not as expected and I didn't have time to order a new one, so I called a company that had one in stock, but doesn't sell parts, they would only stand behind it if they installed it. So I subcontracted with them.
They managed to get out the same day and fix it, at a cost (which I absorbed)....

Today's job was simply to configure it all and get apps loaded for the client - for some reason, the cloud controller's emails were not getting through, so they couldn't authenticate. yada yada.

But, it's done. They are happy. I'm happy they are happy and happy it's done... =)

If your company needs network cabling, access points, IP cameras, servers, computers, etc. Hit us up.
But, give me a day to recover. =) :D
