It’s Winning Women Wednesday! This month we are proud to highlight Brittany Isherwood, President & CEO of Burke Aerospace.
Brittany made a bold and career defining decision: she departed the stability of a large corporation to bring her talent and vision to a small 2nd generation privately held business. Today, she leads the operations of Burke Aerospace’s two facilities—located in Farmington, Connecticut and Greenville, South Carolina—where she is responsible for strategic direction, operations oversight, and growth initiatives.
Burke Aerospace is a premier provider of high precision machining services to the aerospace and gas turbine engine sectors. Its core capabilities lie in “hot section” engine components, where the demands for accuracy, material performance, and quality are especially stringent.
In 2024, Brittany was honored with placement on the Hartford Business Journal’s Top 25 Women in Business list, and she was recognized as a Women of Excellence in Metal Forming and Fabrication by MetalForming Magazine. That same year, both Burke Aerospace and Brittany were inducted into the American Manufacturing Hall of Fame, honoring their outstanding contributions and leadership in U.S. manufacturing.
In her spare time, Brittany enjoys skiing, golfing and weightlifting. She also serves on the boards of CBIA, Aerospace Component Manufacturers, Connstep, Manufacture CT and member of Young Presidents’ Organization. In the future, Brittany hopes to take the company to the next level and double sales revenue in the next five years.
KathodeRay applauds Brittany for taking a leap of faith in her career and venturing into the small business sector!
