Not every day at J. Tucker Construction happens at a splice enclosure. Some days it looks like this: moving reels of cable and conduit around the yard so the next crew out the gate has exactly what they need, when they need it.
Propane powered forklifts like this one get used out here because they can run outside all day in the Texas heat and refuel in a couple of minutes instead of waiting on a battery. Small detail, but it is what keeps a yard like ours moving without slowdowns.

This house does not quite exist yet, but the internet infrastructure that will be used by its owner already does. That is what is happening here: our crew is putting fiber and service line infrastructure in the ground before the walls are even finished, so a brand new house is broadband ready the day someone unpacks their first box.

It is easy to forget how much has to happen underground before a neighborhood feels like a neighborhood.

Before this John Deere does any digging, somebody's got eyes on it, checking it over, making sure everything's set right. That is two of our guys working as a team before the real work even starts.

It is not the most exciting five minutes of the day, but ask anyone who has run equipment for a living: skipping this step is how a good day turns into a bad one fast.
