PSU has created two fantastic sources for members of PSU. It is hardly known about and has very little foot traffic. This is the outcome of a residency done which then turned into a series of posters and flyers that would then be posted around campus in order to make it know about this great resource.

From the 1940s to the 1970s, the Los Angelesbased husband-and-wife team of Charles and Ray Eames practiced design at its most virtuous and its most expansive. Their furniture, toys, buildings, films, graphics, exhibitions, and books all aimed to improve society, not only functionally but also culturally and intellectually. Everyone likes to have a house plant, or even a potten tomatoe plant, but the way plan care information comes with a plant can be cumbersome to say the least. The common plastic tags are bulky, easy to loose and because they're often placed directly in the soil -grimy! The end result is that they often aren't kept at all, leaving the plants without some of the care they might need. I re-designed a new system for referencing information for you purchased plants. I saddle stitched the pages into a small pocket sized book that is easy to carry around for everyday plant care.

As students, it can be easy to forget just how big the School of Art + Design, and the whole College of the Arts really is. The school or Art + Design has dozens of events each term -factoring in the Schools of Architecture, Theater + Film, Dance + Music, there is a lot going on. Portland State wants the wider Portland art community who isn't in school to come to those events -and the public rarely sees the posters hanging up in Lincoln Hall or the entryway to the art building. I designed a mailable schedule to promote the College of the arts events. The goal is to have to have students and the Portland community connect in the art community.
