Our September calendar page features a striking starling, digitally printed on our Heidelberg Versafire on 105 lb. Stardream Opal Cover.

Known for their iridescent feathers, starlings can appear to shift in color as the light changes. The subtle pearlescent shimmer of Stardream Opal complements that effect beautifully, giving the image an added sense of depth and movement.

It’s a great example of how the right paper can become part of the design—not just something it’s printed on.

Thoughtful material and production choices like these are what help turn a printed piece into something memorable.

August’s calendar page brings the color—and scent—of fresh summer peaches to print.

The vibrant imagery was produced on 100 # Finesse Gloss Cover using 4-color process inks and an overall gloss aqueous coating. A spot RUB’N SMELL varnish adds the finishing touch, releasing a fresh peach aroma when activated.

The Ninja Love Bus rolled into the Racine County Fair!

James W. Smith Printing partnered with The Lonely Ninjas to design and produce this one-of-a-kind selfie prop promoting the band’s new single, “Gettin Hit with Love.”

The oversized display was printed with durable UV inks on 1-inch lightweight Falconboard and precision-cut into two horizontal sections for easier shipping, handling and setup. It quickly became a fan favorite during the band’s August 2 performance at the Racine County Fair.

Our July calendar page brings together two of our specialties in a single piece.

The featured artwork, The Fourth of July, 1916 by Childe Hassam, is reproduced on canvas using digital solvent inks in our wide-format department.

The calendar page surrounding the artwork is printed offset on 100 # Finesse Gloss Cover with 4-color process, finished with an overall gloss aqueous coating, and precision die-cut in-house by .

It's a great example of how combining multiple printing processes can create something that's more dimensional, engaging, and memorable.

Custom project complete! 🛥️

Our Wide Format Team recently helped restore a weathered swim platform on a 2014 Tige ski boat.

The project included removing the old rubber, sourcing new PV/EVA foam, templating the platform area, cutting and beveling the edges, and scribing the Tige logo into the new material.

This is the kind of craftsmanship TeamSmith takes pride in — creative problem solving, precision work, and a finished result built to stand out.
