Client visits are out FAVORITE.

Last week, we visited our longtime partner, American Document Solutions (ADS), for an on-site review of their cybersecurity controls.

It’s about more than checking boxes. It’s about showing up, staying proactive, and helping our partners protect what matters 💻❤️

Think twice before trusting an unknown device ‼️

We strongly recommend users to use an external power adapter to charge smart devices, BUT if you do find yourself using pc or any public energy source (airport outlets, public computers), DO NOT TRUST IT.

If a power source is asking you for access to your device, IT IS CAPABLE of doing more than just charging your phone alone. With your permission, it can get access to your personal data (photos, texts, emails, etc). Protect yourself each day by taking a second to consider who you may be accidentally sharing your data with.

What’s that box connected to your fiber line 👀👀

It’s an ONT,short for Optical Network Terminal. Fiber cables carry internet data as light. The ONT converts those light signals into data your router can use, then the router connects your devices to the internet. Think of the ONT as the bridge between the fiber network and your Wi-Fi setup.

Heat is the biggest enemy of any circuit. It causes parts to fail, which is a recipe for disaster for any business 😰

Bigger servers pull air through the front and blow it out the back. If you have a glass front, you most definitely have a solid metal back of the cabinet leaving no room for ventilation.
