This outage affected internet service in the Speaks area. Lightning hit our tower site and tower climbers restored service. When they were ready to leave electricity went out and lightning struck the tower again creating damage again.

***UPDATE 9:30PM 4/22/26***
Power should be restored to all areas by 2:00AM, except the Speaks and Cordele area.

The Speaks and Cordele area incurred substantial damage. Estimated restoration time for this area, at this time, is tomorrow evening 4/23/26. Crews will be working throughout the night and tomorrow making these repairs.

Our service territory is experiencing scattered outages due to the severe weather. About 20 poles were broke off causing a large outage affecting the northern portion of Edna.

Crews are out responding to outages and additional crews have been dispatched. We appreciate your patience as we work through this. At this time there is not an accurate estimated time for restoration. Please follow this post for updates.
