Tech Tip Tuesday: Think Twice Before You Click

Scammers are getting more advanced, and AI is making fake emails look more real than ever.

Messages can appear to come from trusted companies, with convincing logos, timing, and even realistic account warnings. But looks can be deceiving.

⚠️ Protect yourself:

• Always check the sender’s full email address, not just the name
• Be cautious of messages claiming urgent account issues or failed payments
• Never click links in unexpected emails
• Go directly to the company’s official website or app instead
• Contact support using verified channels if you’re unsure

Even the most realistic message can be fake. Taking a moment to double-check can help keep your information safe.

Phase 3 Clarification 🚧

We want to clarify a detail from our previous Phase 3 map. Two areas shown are part of our planned build, but we cannot begin construction there yet because we still need easements signed.

In much of Dyersburg, we have been able to stay within existing city easements. However, in these areas, we have to go outside public right of way due to space limitations. Because of this, additional easements are needed.

We want to bring fiber to these areas. We just need your help to make it happen.

If you are in a greyed area and are unsure if you have signed an easement, call our Fiber Buildout Hotline at 713-903-7575 and leave a message. Our team will follow up as soon as possible.

Signing an easement simply allows us to install and maintain fiber. We use directional boring, which is far less invasive than trenching and helps minimize disruption to your property.

We’ve heard from many of you over the past week asking when reliable fiber internet is coming your way. After the recent widespread outage in Dyersburg, we know how important dependable service really is, and we’re glad to see the interest in what we’re bringing to town.

📍 The areas highlighted in these maps are where our crews are currently building out fiber. If you’re in one of these zones, service availability is getting closer.

While we don’t have exact signup dates to share just yet, we’re making steady progress and will be announcing availability right here on our page as soon as areas are ready.

• A post from us announcing availability
• Our team going door-to-door
• A door hanger left at your home with next steps

Not seeing your area on the map?
At this time, we do not have current plans to build in other parts of Dyersburg, with the exception of the Millsfield Highway area. That said, plans can evolve, so be sure to follow our page to stay up to date on any future expansion.
