Preserving history is important, but creating a space where people can step inside and submerge themselves in it is something truly special. 🌊
When the USS Cincinnati Memorial & Peace Pavilion surfaced at Voice of America Park, LemonGrenade was brought aboard to create the environmental graphics, educational displays, and wayfinding that help visitors navigate the site and dive deeper into the submarine's story.
The USS Cincinnati (SSN-693) served as a nuclear-powered submarine during the Cold War, spending nearly 18 years protecting peace beneath the surface. Today, its legacy lives on through a one-of-a-kind memorial dedicated to the crew, the mission, and the history it represents.
It's an honor to contribute to a project that transforms history from something you simply read about into something you can explore, experience, and connect with firsthand.
If you haven't visited yet, it's worth the trip.
