Grizzly had a grand old time at the Bitterroot Valley Chamber of Commerce Awards Dinner held at the Daly Mansion. It was great to see so many friends deservedly recognized for their efforts to make the valley a better place to live, work, shop and play. Big thank you to Ravalli Services Corporation for providing us with the Mining For Gold game where so many people had a great time, and won fabulous prizes.

The Old Timey Prospector was in his glory regaling the tenderfoots of the motherlode accompanied by his trusty true love Dara Pureheart. Eurekah!!! Plenty of Hootin' and Hollerin were supplied by our beloved Mayor Dominic Farrenkopf mounted atop his trusty stick pony Sapphire! 😆

We hope all in attendance had a wonderful time.

Heads up, Bitterroot: TikTok scammers are getting sneaky.

Scammers are sending fake emails and messages designed to look like they're from TikTok. They'll claim your account has been suspended, that you've got a copyright strike, or - the flattering version - that you've been selected for a verified badge or a creator payout.

The link takes you to a page that looks exactly like TikTok's login screen. You type in your info. They steal it. And just like that, your account isn't yours anymore.

Here's what to watch for and what to do:

✅ Got an unexpected email about your TikTok account? Don't click the link. Open the TikTok app directly and check from there.

✅ Check the address bar. A fake page can look identical to the real thing - the URL is the giveaway. If it's not tiktok.com, close it.

✅ Turn on two-factor authentication on your TikTok account. A stolen password alone won't be enough to get in.

✅ Already entered your info on a suspicious page? Change your TikTok password immediately and review your login activity for anything you don't recognize.

The scam works because it creates urgency (your account is in trouble!) or excitement (you've been selected!). Either way, the goal is the same - get you to act fast before you stop to think.

A great night celebrating the people, businesses, and organizations that make the Bitterroot Valley such a special place!
