Five years ago, Black Love Matters started as a simple idea, an extension of my graphic design business. I knew I didn’t want to create merch just to sell shirts. I wanted it to mean something. What I couldn’t have imagined then was that God would grow that idea into a vision far bigger than me.

Black Love Matters is more than a phrase or a graphic on a tee. It’s a mission rooted in love, purpose, and community. Our goal is to sow into Black communities by funding a grant and creating opportunities for young entrepreneurs, especially those who are often overlooked due to racial disparities in lending and access to resources.

We aim to sow creativity through community-centered events like spoken word nights.�We aim to sow education through classes on financial literacy, building online storefronts, running Facebook and Instagram ads, and mastering Canva as a beginner, because the graphic designer in me wants us all to win.
This brand is not about clothes or novelty items. It’s about building something that uplifts, equips, and unites us.

As 1 Corinthians 13:13 reminds us:�“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
Love is the foundation of this movement. Love is how we bridge gaps. Love is how we elevate our community, together.
