Our Population

546 children enrolled. 458 sessions analyzed. Ages 2–12. Across 4 U.S. and Qatar sites.

Reference diagnoses were established by doctoral-level clinicians trained to research-reliability standards using DSM-5 criteria, ADOS-2, cognitive and adaptive assessments, screening tools, parent interviews, and integrated clinical judgment.

Our dataset was intentionally built to reflect the real-world complexity of the neurodevelopmental population.

Behavioral health assessment is evolving, but access to gold-standard autism evaluation remains limited for many children and families. Long wait times, specialist shortages, and geographic barriers continue to affect when and how children receive care.

We believe there is growing need for more scalable and objective ways to support clinician-led autism assessment while maintaining clinical rigor in real-world settings.

We don't talk about our research enough.

If your child has gone through an autism evaluation, you know how much rides on it. The clinician in that room is doing something extraordinarily skilled: observing, interpreting, and making judgment calls that shape a child's entire support plan.

That expertise is irreplaceable. And we never set out to replace it.
What we asked instead was a quieter question: during a standard evaluation session, could we also capture objective biometric data from the audio, video, and natural gaze behavior already present in the room?

No changes to the session. No new equipment the child has to interact with. No extra burden on the family.

What we found is that this kind of naturalistic, non-invasive analysis can quantify 140+ social-communication behaviors in children ages 2 to 12, producing objective measurements that sit alongside the clinician's observation rather than competing with it.

More data for the people doing the hard work of getting kids the right diagnosis at the right time.

Neurora does not score or interpret the ADOS-2®. Argus Cognitive is not affiliated with or endorsed by Western Psychological Services.

🔺 1 in 31 children.

🔺 Waitlists up to 2 years.

🔺 $1 trillion in looming Medicaid cuts.

Gold-standard autism evaluations are what payers require and clinicians expect. For millions of families, it remains out of reach.

Neurora is designed to change that.

We were thrilled to reconnect at International Society for Autism Research, INSAR 2026 with colleagues from Sultan Qaboos University, and looking back at a photo from 2023, it’s clear how far this community has come.

Khalil Kamal, Head of Product, and Latha Valluripalli Soorya, co-founder at Argus Cognitive, joined researchers and clinicians from around the world pushing the science of autism forward.

Proud to be part of this global network, and even prouder to call some of them old friends!

Autism diagnostics today are often constrained by workflows that depend on clinician presence during the most time-intensive portions of the evaluation, limiting access and introducing variability that is difficult to standardize or audit.

Advances in structured data capture and asynchronous review now allow trained technicians to administer assessments within defined protocols, while licensed clinicians retain full authority over supervision, interpretation, and diagnosis.

This model preserves clinical judgment while enabling more consistent, reviewable, and scalable evaluations.

As behavioral data becomes more structured and longitudinal, it also creates a foundation for more consistent measurement of social communication and treatment response over time.

We’re excited to share that we will be presenting two posters at the International Society for Autism Research, INSAR this week in Prague:

📍 Thursday, April 23 | 12:30–1:30 PM

📍 Prague Congress Centre, Congress Hall Foyer B, C

Poster Board
Enhancing Autism Evaluations through Naturalistic and Non-Invasive Biometric Data Capture with Khalil Kamal

Poster Board
An Analysis of the Behavioural Characteristics in Fragile X Syndrome Using Automatically Derived Metrics

These presentations highlight how Neurora applies objective, non-invasive biometric analysis to existing autism evaluations—supporting asynchronous assessment review while strengthening quality assurance and clinical consistency.

If you or your team are attending INSAR this week, we’d love for you to stop by, connect, and learn more!

Inclusion is not an accommodation. It is a baseline.

Every autistic individual deserves access to care, community, and opportunity, not because it is generous, but because it is right. This month and every month. 💙
