It used to take us a long time to describe what we do. We’ve been around for two decades, but it took us to this point to realize what our true goal has been all along. (Honestly, it was a little hard to even describe what we do to friends and family. Thanksgiving became “So tell me again what exactly you do, dear. Like arts and crafts? My neighbor’s niece does crochet. You should hire her!”)
Here
’s what we do. We design the world around us, one experience at a time. See, no need to brace for an onslaught of agency-speak and lofty B.S. That drives us crazy, too. We want forward-thinking partners who need someone to design a solution. They don’t need a quick Band-aid. They don’t need a cookie-cutter plan. They don’t need empty promises in a glitzy, jargon-filled presentation.*
Here’s what to expect as a partner: we’re working right beside you as we push for the “A ha!” moment, even if it’s daunting or scary or unprecedented. We’ve been designing and inventing solutions for clients around the country facing a reality that isn’t working for them anymore (what we call a “breaking reality”… so, OK, a little bit of agency speak.) Reimagined web sites. Revitalized brands. Reinvented content management systems. Re-whatever needs done so that you get a solution that works for your specific issue, not whatever happens to apply in our toolkit. It’s design as a complete experience. Hiring random ad agencies, graphic designers, digital marketers, web developers... getting a business breakthrough that way can all seem a little square peg, round hole, right? When you approach design as a holistic goal and not a la carte like you’re at a damn buffet, you get a bigger impact. Our entry point is when your team thinks, “There has to be a better way. But where do we even start?”
You start with us. andculture. A design company.
* Run away if your design company uses the word “synergistic” or “interpolation” in their pitch.
