It has been my dream to open my own small business and in May 2014 I finally started taking serious steps toward that. I graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in December 2007 with a degree in Graphic Design. Typography and hands on material classes were always my favorite. Originally from Miller, South Dakota, I returned to my home state and began my career as a graphic designer
in Sioux Falls. On a whim, I submitted my resume for a (supposed to be) seasonal job working at a vinyl shop in the mall for the Christmas holiday a couple nights a week with the sole purpose of some extra spending cash. What I found was a place to merge all my loves. Design + Typography + Material. Three months turned into about three years. I learned alot from some great people and had an additional creative outlet that was different then the regular day-to day of my corporate job. While I did eventually give up the part-time job (marriage, tiny human), I was completely hooked. I bought my own machine (ok... Christmas gift from my awesome parents) and kept at it as a personal hobby for myself. Which led to family, friends, friends of friends, and finally the leap into an official small business of my own. Each design on my site was designed by myself. Each item you purchase is made to order at the time of purchase. Each custom order is done with the thought, care, and time I would take on my own projects (x2 usually.... isn't it the rule of thumb you never actually get around to your own stuff?)
