Your best ideas don’t come when you play it safe. You find them by testing, trying, failing and trying again.

Lately I’ve been testing the editing app to give a different angle to the videos I capture on my X5. So I tested the paper cut effect and selected 3 videos with a strong color contrast to create focus.

My bike riding one is clearly my favorite!

Stay curious and try new tools out you’d be surprised at the new angles you may find.

This video is part of my involvement with the Insta360 Creator Capture Program.

Still picking brand colors based on your preference?

Here is something you should know, 95% of purchasing decisions are driven by emotion. Color is the silent language that speaks directly to our hearts.

Color drives emotion, recognition, and action, but without a strategy behind how colors are used, you water down your impact.

Here's a quick way to train your eye: every time you spot a color combination you love, ask yourself three questions:
1. What emotion does this trigger?
2. What action would it drive?
3. How does this make people feel about our brand?

Give it a try with this palette.

Here is our strategic read: This palette is for brands that want every touchpoint to feel like a clear breath of fresh air and a moment of complete clarity. Think fertility and women's health clinics, skincare brands, ocean conservation organizations, and float therapy centers.

Can you feel it?

Summer’s winding down, schedules are shifting, and that back-to-school energy is in the air.

This natural transition is the perfect opportunity to pause, reflect, and sharpen your focus for a strong start Q3.

Here are ways small business owners can embrace this shift:

- Audit Your Goals
Revisit the goals you set earlier this year to see if you are on track. If you feel behind, make a list of your priorities and create a plan for what you want to achieve in the coming months.

- Refresh Your Brand's Story
In nature, seasonal shifts bring change. Have you outgrown your messaging or branded content? Use this season to refine your message and align it with where you—and your audience—are now.

- Plan Time for Rest
Growth starts with clarity, but you need rest to think clearly. Schedule dedicated downtime to recharge your creativity and give your ideas the space to grow. If you burn out now, you won't have the focus to finish the year strong.

Your turn! How are you maintaining focus and balance in your business as the seasons shift? Share your go-to strategies in the comments below.

Overlooking the strategic role of color can quietly undermine all your best branding efforts.

Long before someone reads your tagline or scrolls through your About page, they’ve already formed an impression of your brand. In fact, research suggests that emotions drive 90% of purchasing decisions, and few tools influence emotions quite like color.

Here’s a simple way to get your brain thinking about color strategy: go on a color hunt and reflect on what you see.

Give it a try! Start with these colors. Ask yourself:
1) What emotion does this trigger?
2) What action will it drive?
3) How does this make people feel about our brand?

Here is our strategic read: This palette can work for brands that want every touchpoint to feel quietly luxurious, grounded, and effortlessly refined. Think skincare, textiles, retreat experiences, interiors and architecture, and organic products.

Rest isn’t a pause—it's a strategy. When we step away from the constant buzz, we allow space for clarity and creativity to flow.

Whether it’s a walk outside, a quiet moment with your favorite book, or simply doing nothing, these moments of rest recharge us to think bigger and create with intention.

Here’s a brand strategy you can put into practice while you pause:
1) Take a task, project or campaign that’s been draining resources but hasn’t delivered tangible results.

2) Step outside, unplug, and use that quiet moment to ask yourself—does this deserve more energy, or is it time to let it goooo?

3) Reflect on a strategy you haven't tried and ask yourself—does this effort pull me away from the core value I offer?

Some of my best solutions have surfaced in silence, outside of the office. It's not a race, so pace yourself.

Most brands pick colors because they look good together.

Strategic brands pick colors because they work.

There’s a difference. And it shows up in your conversions, your content, and how people feel the moment they land on your page.

Here’s a simple way to get your brain thinking about color strategy: go on a color hunt and reflect on what you see.

Give it a try! Start with these colors. Ask yourself:

2) What action will it drive?
3) How does this make people feel about our brand?

Here is our strategic read: This palette is for brands that bring calm to a busy life and want every touchpoint to feel like a moment of peace in the middle of the day. Think luxury coastal and maritime brands, health and wellness brands, spa centers, dental clinics, and leisurewear brands.
