We've been quiet here since the DC Pen Show, and we owe you an explanation. Part of it is the ordinary kind of busy: orders going out the door, and a lot of fall inventory landing all at once. The rest is a project we've been working on, and we'd like to ask you about it.
It's called the Chesapeake Stationery & Pen Fest. A stationery-first weekend here in Havre de Grace, presented by Glyph Stationers, aimed at fall 2027.
The idea: planners and journals, paper, washi and stickers, cards and mail, Japanese and import stationery, plus a real, serious-but-friendly pen and ink section for the curious and the obsessed alike.
Here's the part we don't know. There are terrific stationery fests out there, in Brooklyn and Chicago, and pen shows running somewhere in the country nearly every month of the year. What there isn't is a stationery-first weekend in the Mid-Atlantic, at a size where you can take your time at a table without being elbowed along. We think there's room for that. But we're early enough that we'd rather find out than assume, and the people who shop with us are the people we most want to hear from.
So there's a short survey below. It asks what you'd want to see on the floor, what would actually make the trip worth it, and (this one matters more than it sounds) which day of the week works for you. About five minutes. Nothing to buy, nothing to sign up for.
