Your WiFi can be an easy access point for hackers. Here are 4 quick tips to help keep hackers off of your network (or keep tech savvy neighbors from stealing your WiFi!)

1. Hide your Service Set Identifier (SSID) or the name you give your wireless router so that it doesn’t broadcast your network name to everyone
2. Turn WiFi scanning off so you don’t connect with open networks. Only turn it on when you need a connection and can approve it.
3. Shut down your network when you’re not using it
4. Use tools to log attempts on your network and do regular scans so that you know what your risks are and where they’re coming from
