Before "The Secrets Beneath Hazleton" reaches television audiences, the story is coming home. WVIA Public Media and the Hazleton Art League invite the community to a special premiere celebration on Wednesday, September 9.

Produced and directed by Tim Novotney, WVIA's new original documentary explores Hazleton's hidden tunnels, abandoned mine shafts, and underground structures—and the stories that have remained buried for generations.

This special premiere evening includes:

🍰 6:00 PM — Doors and reception with light refreshments
🎬 7:00 PM — Exclusive premiere screening
🎤 7:30 PM — Live conversation and audience Q&A with director

This is more than a screening—it is an opportunity to celebrate Hazleton’s history, WVIA’s local storytelling, the Hazleton Art League’s commitment to community culture, and everyone who helped bring this documentary to life.

There’s still time to come out and experience the 40 Below Art Exhibit before it closes on August 29th.

This show has been such a meaningful way to see local creativity alive in our community, and I’m grateful to have my paintings included alongside so many talented artists. If you’ve been meaning to stop by, now is the time.
