Turn off screen capture and screen recording in Windows 11:

-Right-click Windows start button and left-click on “settings”
-in settings (left column) left-click on “privacy and security”
-scroll down toward the bottom and left-click on “Screenshots and screen recording”
-turn off screen recording toggle

You will still be able to use the snipping tool for YOU to take screenshots.

Don't do their DIRTY WORK!! Ever see a post where your Facebook “friend” asks you to copy and paste their post rather than share it?

They more likely didn't ask you directly. They copied and pasted the item themselves that one of their friends previously posted, and the request to pass it on in this way was already built in.

Intentions may be genuine to spread a message, but there's also a downside if the original poster was planning to harvest information about you.

The trail goes all the way back to the original poster. It's a chain letter that aims to reach as broad an audience as possible.

But when you copy and paste an item, you're creating a new post that can be seen by all your friends and beyond. In other words, it gets wider circulation.

Deleting a shared message would remove the entire chain of forward shares (note, not earlier shares), but that wouldn't happen with a copy and paste.

Don’t do the bad actors’ dirty work. When you copy and paste these types of messages, you are exposing all of your friends contact info to the original scammer FOR them.
