🚨 SCAM ALERT: THESE CALLS CAN FEEL VERY REAL 🚨

We recently encountered a scam attempt involving a caller using fear, urgency, and highly specific details to create panic and pressure immediate action.

The caller:
• Called from an unknown number
• Claimed serious legal consequences
• Provided information that sounded legitimate
• Overwhelmed the conversation with details to reduce clear decision-making
• Pressured for immediate compliance

This is intentional psychological manipulation.

One important reminder:

🚔 Police departments do NOT typically handle warrant matters over the phone.
🚔 They do NOT demand payment by phone, gift card, debit card, or parking lot meetup.
🚔 Legitimate agencies generally will not call from unknown numbers demanding immediate action.

Scammers rely on panic to bypass logic. Even smart, cautious people can get caught off guard when fear and urgency take over.

If you receive a suspicious call:
• Hang up immediately
• Do not provide personal or financial information
• Independently call the agency using their publicly listed number
• Talk to someone you trust before acting under pressure

Awareness is one of the best defenses we have.

🚨 Scam texts are getting better and better.

I got this text today claiming to be from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet about “unpaid toll charges” and threatening license suspension, penalties, and legal action.

At first glance, it looked legit… but here’s what gave it away:

❌ Came from a random phone number (904 area code = Florida, not Kentucky)

❌ Used fear tactics like:
“Ultimate Enforcement Notice”
“Immediate Remittance Required”
“Legal Enforcement”

❌ The website was fake:
It used “ky.gov” in the link to trick people.

Example:
Real: drive.ky.gov
Fake: ky.gov-noi.help

The actual website is everything AFTER the last dot before the slash.

❌ No personal details:
No plate number.
No account number.
No actual toll road listed.

Most government agencies don’t text legal threats. They usually send notices by mail.

Before clicking any link:

1. Check the sender
2. Read the URL carefully
3. Watch for urgent threats
4. Look for missing personal/account details
5. Go directly to the official website instead of clicking

Stay alert. These scams are getting very convincing.

I’ve been tinkering on a side project that started as “I want a better way to explain what I actually do.”

Over time, I realized how broken the traditional resume has become. A single page rarely captures how someone actually thinks, works, or solves problems. LinkedIn helps, but it still leaves a lot of context out.

So I built myself a digital alternative — a clean, modern personal site paired with an AI assistant that can answer questions about my background, approach, and work in real time. It’s less about marketing and more about clarity.

The idea is simple:

Quiet win recently.

Ran a Lighthouse audit on a small business landing page we built at Infinite Horizons Solutions and the results came back:

Update & Gratitude

I wanted to share a quick update.

I recently launched a giveaway with the hope of blessing a volunteer fire department. While it didn’t gain the traction I expected, I don’t see that as a miss — just a redirection.

Sometimes we make plans, put good intentions out there, and then God quietly closes a door because there’s something else. He wants us to step into instead.

Over the past week or so, a different opportunity came into view — one that aligns deeply with why Infinite Horizons Solutions exists in the first place: using skills, tools, and time to support work that truly matters.

So I’m taking the giveaway down and shifting focus. No frustration. No regret. Just gratitude for clarity and trust that the right work shows up at the right time.

Sometimes the direction changes for a reason. We’re shifting focus to support a mission serving women impacted by trafficking. More to come — approached thoughtfully and with care.
