Canvas is now available in Google Search's AI Mode, but it does not behave quite like Gemini Canvas.

While it can quickly build collaborative split-screen web applications through natural language prompts, it comes with a major limitation that every vibe coder needs to know.

The Google.com AI Mode Canvas Blueprint:
- Access the Interface: Head to Google.com, select AI Mode on the right side of the prompt area, click the plus (+) icon, and choose Canvas.
- Prompt the Application: Ask for a specific web form, study schedule, or layout. The model generates a split-screen view with your prompt thread on the left and a live HTML/CSS/JS preview or code on the right.
