Take a look at how PhotoMesh is revolutionizing data analysis with advanced integration of imagery and visible RGB photos into an enhanced 3D mesh model. This model combines the highly precise geometry from the RGB data with the thermal texture derived from Infrared data, aiding in the detection and analysis of heat patterns.

Such functionality plays a critical role in detecting issues ranging from structural deficiencies to excessive energy loss or human activity, paving the way for informed and timely decision-making. The mesh model offers the option for texturing with color or thermal data.

Check out our latest demo project on “Change Detection” using PhotoMesh and TerraExplorer. 3D mapping of dynamic sites with changing vegetation and temporary structures poses numerous challenges. Capturing photos at different times often leads to incidental discrepancies between collections, such as the momentary presence or absence of a passing car. These minor variations can distract from significant differences, hindering effective comparative analysis. Skyline’s PhotoMesh solves this issue with its Reference Project tool that aligns data pixel-to-pixel, removing trivial time-based differences. This results in two perfectly aligned 3D mesh layers that can then be analyzed using TerraExplorer's range of comparison tools for change detection, swiping between layers, and measuring differences in distance, area, and volume.
