Listened to a podcast from digital insights. They are getting around 70% their conversions from mobile. Not sure why developers are still starting with the desktop. Interesting.

I had lunch with a friend recently who has been writing code for years. He’s a Javascript guy doing things in the financial services industry. He just got promoted. He listed the three things he hated the most about his job. Number one are meetings. I wasn’t surprised. Number two was projects that get shelved after months of work. “It feels like a waste”, he said. Number three was being forced to use the wrong technology on a project. “Like using a screwdriver when a hammer should be used.”

Integrating marketing with design has never been more challenging. I do think a new tool does have some merit. It ties together collaboration in real time on a web design. Talk about a great way to bring remote teams together. Nice touch.

Figma, the interface design app with real-time collaboration chops, is adding a new tool to its arsenal today. It’s called Components, and the idea is to make it much easier to replicate and modify design elements. Creating a Component is just like any other object, but duplicating it is when the fu...

Its been so fascinating to work with clients who used to have the pain of endless client comments. The endless rounds and rounds of clients comments disappear with NoteBLOX..and that's all well and good, but that wasn't that wan't the point of my thinking. I kinds of saw it as a metaphor...a point of sorts.

The point was, I started wondering why is it that people put themselves through needless pain when they know there is a better way.

So this past weekend I took a long walk to really think about why people endure pain in their work and their lives. Why do we torture ourselves.

I'm not talking about the big things. I'm not talking about relationships and money (perhaps it applies...but that wasn't the intent of my thinking).

The point was to better understand why people wait to the last minute to get to a meeting. Or why people pay bills late. Or something as stupid as having a weekly meeting at work when there is really nothing to talk about.

And all I could up with is that we humans frickin hate change. Even if that walk is cold every morning I'm not wearing a hat (a good friend of mine does this and I can't figure it out...even after frostbite). She continues to now wear a hat. Makes no sense, but it is her habit.

Man...humans are habitual...is what I concluded. And I say this as I am kind of a new habitual guy. For years, I never had a pattern. I never had a flow. I never had a system. I was the guy who got up every morning at a different time. Went to bed at differnet times. Most everyday was different then the last (short of work responsibilities)

Now, I'm developing habits and pattern and I like it. Perhaps a little OCD suits me. Funny...who would've thought.

The patterns I'm developing are my own and they suit me now. We will see how I do in the months and years to come when a change is necessary.

Private Notes right on your website,
Because otherwise understanding what clients mean is painful.

You can turn any site into a friendly & interactive sticky-note like environment!

http://knowstartup.com/2016/12/10-must-have-project-management-apps/ An updated project management app list is provided. Good to see a few more options besides Basecamp.

Trying to manage a project without project management software can turn into a Godzilla-like apocalypse quickly. Small businesses have a variety of possibilities for organizing their projects from the deep.
