On Wednesday, August 19 from 11:30am - 1:30pm Venture Communications is serving an appreciation lunch to say thank you to the incredible first responders, volunteers, and community members who stepped up following the Highmore storm.

Whether you spent hours clearing trees, checking on neighbors, directing traffic, restoring services, or responding to emergencies, your kindness and dedication made a lasting difference. We are grateful for everything you did to help our community recover.

Everyone is welcome! We especially encourage our first responders and volunteers to join us, but this is also a wonderful opportunity for the entire community to come together, share a meal, and personally thank those who helped when they were needed most.

This is a free will offering meal. Venture Communications will match all donations up to $2,000, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Highmore Volunteer Fire Department.

No matter how you helped - or if you're simply grateful for those who did - we hope you'll join us as we celebrate the people who came together to make Highmore stronger.

We have some exciting news to share!

Venture Communications is proud to announce our upcoming feature on All Access with Andy Garcia, an educational television program that spotlights organizations and innovations making a positive impact across the country.

The episode will tell the story of rural broadband and the essential role reliable, high-speed internet plays in strengthening communities. From supporting agriculture, education, healthcare, and local businesses to connecting families and improving everyday life, broadband continues to drive opportunity across rural South Dakota.

As a member-owned cooperative serving more than 40 communities, Venture has spent over 74 years investing in the people and places we call home. This feature highlights not only our 100% fiber-optic network, but also the members, employees, and communities at the heart of everything we do.

Filmed at locations across South Dakota, the production includes the South Dakota State Historical Society in Pierre, Venture's headquarters in Highmore, and several local customer sites. The program features interviews with customers, employees, community leaders, and South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden, showcasing the impact of broadband connectivity throughout the state.

We are honored to share our story and shine a spotlight on the importance of rural broadband and the communities we proudly serve.
