Every shape in this frame is one tree. 34,336 crowns, each drawn as a polygon with its height, from a drone LiDAR flight over 372 acres of replanted forest corridor on Hawaii Island. Cream is tall, teal is short, and the gulches give themselves away immediately. The planning team needed the shape of the ground under the canopy and a record of the canopy itself before routing new trails through here. 760 million points covered both from the Drone LiDAR unit got the job done!
